**About the Role:**

We're seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Technician to join our growing Maintenance team based out of our Burr Ridge office (5 days/week). This role offers a unique opportunity to work on complex electrical high-speed manufacturing equipment, including automated machines, control panels, communication systems, and alarms.

**Responsibilities:**

* Repair and maintain electrical systems, including high-voltage components, thermocouples, heating elements, temperature controllers, frequency drives, motor testing, and photo eyes.* Ability to run short conduit runs to and from a motor control panel.* Convert problem issues into corrective actions and execute small projects.* Redesign small electrical systems in a manufacturing environment to drive efficiency and performance improvements.* Communicate effectively with production workers, managers, and fellow mechanics.* Read and update electrical schematics.* Design simple electrical circuits.* Troubleshoot electrical problems by reading schematics.* Familiarity with programming in Allen Bradley or similar PLC environments.* HMI development experience.* Perform complex wiring and programming assignments to troubleshoot and/or improve performance of manufacturing equipment.* Knowledge of GMPs and follow all food safety guidelines.

**Requirements:**

* 3+ years of experience in a maintenance role or Technical Engineering Degree.* Specialization in automation and PLC systems.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.* Computer proficiency.* Previous experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley and Bekhoff).* Nice to have: Professional Degree, Certificate, or Apprenticeship; Experience in a performance-based environment (lean, six sigma, TPS); NFPA 70e Certification; Green or Black Belt in Six Sigma; Experience in food manufacturing or high-volume fulfillment operations.
