Clinical Instructor Position at UConn

The University of Connecticut, School of Nursing is seeking applications for eight full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track Clinical Instructor positions at our Storrs campus. As a Clinical Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate students, advising, supervising pre-licensure students in clinical work, and evaluating student performance. You will also act as a liaison to clinical agencies, sharing clinical expectations and course syllabi with relevant agency staff.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate students in clinical settings
- Advise and supervise pre-licensure students
- Evaluate student performance in clinical training settings
- Develop effective working relationships with hospitals, clinics, and other community partners
- Participate in campus laboratory teaching experiences
- Master's degree in Nursing
- Current Connecticut RN license
- Three to five years of clinical experience
- Three or more years of experience teaching undergraduate students in clinical settings
- Experience evaluating student performance in clinical training settings
- Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) credentials
- Three or more years of experience working as a medical/surgical RN
- Experience managing and directing group clinical training for students
- Experience working with students in an accelerated nursing entry program
This is a 9-month, non-tenure-track position subject to annual review. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
