South Central College is a leading institution in the field of graphic communications, seeking an experienced instructor to join our faculty. Located in North Mankato, Minnesota, we offer a comprehensive curriculum that prepares students for successful careers in this exciting field.

About the Position

We are looking for a qualified Adjunct Graphic Communications Instructor to teach classes in our Business and Industry department. As an instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, creating engaging lesson plans, and providing individualized support to students. Your passion for teaching and commitment to student success will make you an excellent fit for our college community.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in graphic arts, graphic design, or electronic publishing, with at least four years of related work experience. A master's degree in a related field is preferred. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and community partners.

Responsibilities
  • Teach graphic communications courses in the Business and Industry department
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Provide individualized support to students through office hours, email, and other means
  • Maintain accurate academic records in our learning management system
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A minimum of four years of related work experience in graphic arts, graphic design, or electronic publishing
  • A bachelor's degree in graphic arts, graphic design, or electronic publishing (master's degree preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
