Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Transmission Specialist to join our team at Eversource. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for installing, testing, repairing, and maintaining electrical transmission equipment of all types and voltage classes throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and test electrical equipment, including transformers, metering equipment, and station service equipment.
  • Repair and maintain electrical transmission equipment, including bus work and other associated electrical equipment.
  • Operate bucket trucks, traveling cranes, and other power-operated equipment.
  • Assist in the operational analysis, trouble analysis, and repair of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical equipment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and an Associate Degree in Industrial Electricity, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology.
  • Successful completion of a recognized apprenticeship program.
  • Ability to operate test equipment, hand, and power tools.
  • Interpret electrical drawings and work from elevated positions and within confined spaces.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Valid motor vehicle operator's license, Commercial Drivers License (or ability to obtain), and respirator clearance.
  • DOT medical card and EEI CAST aptitude test completion.

Working Conditions:

  • Perform moderately heavy physical work outdoors in all seasons and at times for extended periods.
