Responsibilities:

  • Teach swimming classes to students of all ages and skill levels
  • Enforce pool rules and regulations, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all students
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
  • Prepare lesson plans and materials for classes
  • Assist with pool maintenance and upkeep, including cleaning and equipment preparation
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in swimming instruction

Requirements:

  • Current certification in First Aid and Safety, CPR, and Lifeguarding
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One year of related experience in swimming instruction or a related field
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain a safe and organized learning environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students of diverse ages and abilities
  • Knowledge of swimming techniques and safety procedures
