We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team at Trinity Health Chelsea. As a CRNA, you will work under the medical direction of an Anesthesiologist to develop anesthetic plans and administer anesthesia in assigned locations.
Key Responsibilities- Observe patients' physiological condition while under anesthesia and initiate corrective actions as necessary or as directed by physician.
- Perform pre- and post-operative evaluations on assigned cases and provide accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Develop and implement anesthetic plans in collaboration with anesthesiologists.
- Assemble necessary supplies, drugs, and equipment for each case and test equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Establish or confirm the presence of appropriate intravenous access.
- Insert arterial catheters, perform spinal anesthesia, and IV regional anesthesia if trained and credentialed.
- Provide emergency airway support as requested throughout the facility.
- Identify and manage emergency situations, including assessment of adequacy of recovery or antagonism of muscle relaxants, narcotics, and other agents.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nurse Anesthesiology with a master's degree or PhD.
- CRNA certification, RN, and CRNA specialty nursing license in the state of Michigan or receipt within 6 months of hire.
- BLS/ACLS/PALS certification.
