About the Role

As a seasoned Medical Professional in our ICU team, you will have the opportunity to work within the nursing process to provide direct patient care. Your clinical leadership skills will enable you to guide other staff members and assume relief charge duties when required. You will serve as a role model, promoting a positive work environment and high-quality patient care. Ensuring adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with various age groups: Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric
  • Patient Safety 1: Follow safety-related policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Patient Safety 2: Identify and report potential risks, contributing to a safer environment
  • Patient Safety 3: Correct environmental conditions that may put patients at risk
  • Implement and document individualized care plans
  • Administer medication via the Seven Rights, ensuring accurate documentation
Qualifications and Requirements

You must possess a program graduate degree and hold current RN licensure in New Mexico or a reciprocal agreement state. A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred. Experience in ICU settings is highly valued, with a minimum of six months' experience desired. Proficiency in Spanish is an added advantage.

Certifications and Credentials
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider certification
  • Basic Arrhythmia Certification within one year
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification within six months
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification within six months
Working Conditions and Physical Demands

This role requires heavy physical exertion, involving occasional lifting of 50-100 pounds, frequent lifting of 25-50 pounds, and constant movement of objects weighing 10-20 pounds. The work environment involves working with hazardous materials requiring personal protective equipment (PPE).

The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000 per year, based on your qualifications and location.
