Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team at Amtrak in Williston, ND. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our passengers, ensuring their needs are met, and resolving any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to passengers, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process tickets and fares, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Operate Amtrak computer systems, including Arrow, Railres/Stars, and Quik-Trak.
  • Assist passengers with luggage and special needs, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Disseminate information to passengers, including schedules, fares, and travel requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with other station employees to ensure smooth train boarding and departure.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitasking, and maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse groups of people.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Amtrak computer systems.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and operate baggage equipment, such as pallets, jacks, and forklifts.
