Job Summary:The Material Inspector will be responsible for inspecting and verifying the quality of plasma units, ensuring they meet customer requirements and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspect plasma units for damage, contamination, or other defects
- Verify the accuracy of labeling and documentation
- Perform secondary verifications and end-of-process line clearances
- Monitor plasma time out of freezer and maintain record accountability
- Process unsuitable plasma units during any step of the plasma process
- Transfer units between PU/LOT to a PU
- Meet department average throughput and consistently meet quality standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year experience in Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, or other FDA-licensed Industry (desirable)
- Knowledge of cGMPs and Industry Standards
- Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication)
- Basic Computer Skills
The Material Inspector will work in a manufacturing environment with rotating shifts, exposure to biological fluids, chemicals, electrical equipment, and potential exposure to infectious organisms.
