About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Critical Care Nurse Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and coordination of all functions in the pediatric critical care unit. Your leadership skills and expertise will enable you to mentor and educate your colleagues, while also contributing to the development of evidence-based practices and policies.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
  • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
  • Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • BASIC CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • NEONATE RESUSCITATE certification within 90 days of employment start date.
  • PALS PEDIATRIC ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT certification within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Texas State license or Compact State license required.
  • Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma.
  • 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac ICU/CVICU acute care hospital nursing experience or Critical Care (ICU) experience.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan with a 100% match on 3% to 9% of pay (based on years of service), we also offer opportunities for professional growth and development, including tuition reimbursement and certification support.
