**Job Description**
This position will work closely with the Inclusion and Belonging unit to enhance the student experience, promote personal development, and academic success through the development of programs and events that increase students' sense of belonging and inclusion on campus.
**Responsibilities**
- Assist in planning and implementing programs and events
- Develop and advise student leadership initiatives, including advising student organizations and peer facilitators
- Provide administrative support, including gathering program data, drafting reports, conducting program assessment, and developing programmatic budgets
- Assist with marketing and program promotion, including departmental newsletter and social media management
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree
- Approved for regular admission to a graduate degree program at Georgia College & State University
- Maintain academic good standing
**Salary and Benefits**
This position offers a competitive salary of $22,000 per year, paid bi-weekly. Full assistantships cover all but $25 of tuition, and applicable student fees are not covered by the assistantship. Course loads for graduate assistants must be at least 6 graduate semester hours.
**Work Environment**
This is a non-supervisory position with no financial responsibilities. The position does not require a purchasing card (P-Card) or travel. A criminal background check is required for this position.
