Recreational Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Recreational Therapist to join our team at Prime Healthcare's Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, RI. As a member of our dedicated staff, you will play a vital role in facilitating rehabilitation programs for patients with physical and mental disabilities.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Recreation Therapy or a related field, along with certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or Registered Therapeutic Recreator (RTR). Previous experience in Behavioral Healthcare, rehabilitative, or SNF settings is highly desirable.

• Design and implement therapeutic recreation programs to promote patient engagement, socialization, and skill development.
• Create a supportive environment that encourages patients to explore their potential, build positive morale, and minimize distress associated with illness.

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Recreation Therapy or a related field.
2. Certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or Registered Therapeutic Recreator (RTR).
3. Minimum one year of experience in Behavioral Healthcare, rehabilitative, or SNF settings.
4. Behavioral Violence Prevention training within six months of hire and annual maintenance.
