Job Title: Construction Superintendent

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to lead our construction projects in the Philadelphia market, including South Jersey and New Castle, Delaware. This role requires a strong background in construction management, with a focus on safety, quality, and timely completion.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Construction Project Manager to ensure successful project execution.
  • Supervise construction personnel, materials, and equipment to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
  • Lead jobsite safety meetings and maintain safety records.
  • Prepare and submit daily reports and field documentation.
  • Manage project punch lists with subcontractors and customers.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
  • Schedule and attend municipal inspections.
  • Supervise construction activities and manage multiple subcontractors and vendors.
  • Regularly inspect work to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Manage construction scheduling and timelines.
  • Order materials and schedule inspections as needed.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, and employees.
  • Review contract documents with team members and subcontractors.
  • Track and manage closing documents.
  • Enforce company and project policies.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of commercial construction materials, methods, and tools.
  • Proficiency with email and daily reporting.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with diverse personalities.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to interact with customers, vendors, and management.
  • Critical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial construction.
  • OSHA 10/30, CPR, and First Aid certifications preferred.
