Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at Trinity Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including personal hygiene, ambulation, and elimination needs
  • Assist patients with daily activities, such as dressing and undressing
  • Measure and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure
  • Collect and label urine specimens and perform urine Hcgs
  • Apply PAS stockings and assist with wound care
  • Perform order entry in the computer and assist with room preparation for anticipated admissions
  • Communicate changes in patient condition to RNs and maintain patient care and unit supplies
  • Calculate and record intake and output, excluding IVs
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Completion of 75-hour or 120-hour Certified Nursing Assistant Program or a minimum of one semester of nursing school
  • Must be on State C.N.A. Registry (if not enrolled in nursing school)
  • Previous hospital experience preferred
  • Basic Life Support certified within six weeks of hire
  • Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three months of hire
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English language
