About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team of healthcare professionals at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Concord. As a Nursing Care Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless transitions, and contributing to the development of evidence-based practice initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, identify outcomes, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
  • Critical thinking and nursing process skills to anticipate and recognize changes in patient status, taking action to modify the plan of care or elevate to the care team as necessary.
  • Practice in accordance with the ANA Code of Ethics to advocate for patients, uphold their autonomy in decision-making, ensure informed consent, and assist patients and families in expressing self-determination.
  • Actively seek feedback and act to improve performance, engaging in the governance of practice, and mentoring colleagues for the advancement of nursing practice and the profession.
  • Assume authority and accountability for nursing care while delegating elements of care to others in accordance with laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Prioritize and organize time to optimize patient outcomes, actively seeking out current evidence and standards to apply and translate to daily practice.
  • Role model a culture of inquiry, developing new knowledge by contributing to research, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice at the local level.
  • Communicate effectively in various formats across all areas of practice, actively partnering with others to effect change that produces positive outcomes through knowledge exchange.
  • Precept student nurses, nurse externs, nurse residents, experienced clinical nurses, and other healthcare team members.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program required.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) with 1 year of experience or Associate Degree (ADN) prepared nurses with 2 years' experience.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse with New Hampshire eligibility.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required upon hire and higher-level certifications as applicable.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on location and experience, plus benefits package including comprehensive health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
