Modern Furnishings Specialist Job Opportunity at Cantoni

Cantoni, a leading contemporary home furnishings and design studio in Dallas, is seeking an energetic and motivated team player to join our elite design team as a Modern Furnishings Specialist. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating a warm and hospitable experience for guests, monitoring sales ups and leads, handling incoming phone calls, and coordinating with corporate partners.

About the Role:
  • This is an entry-level position with great potential for future growth, ideal for a career-minded individual interested in becoming a Design Consultant
  • The successful candidate will work closely with the General Manager on projects aimed at enhancing the customer experience and showroom operations
Responsibilities:
  1. Greet and welcome visitors to the showroom, creating a positive first impression
  2. Create a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests, ensuring a memorable shopping experience
  3. Monitor sales ups and leads, utilizing data to drive business growth and improve customer engagement
  4. Handle incoming phone calls, redirecting inquiries and providing exceptional customer service
  5. Keep track of swatches and materials on loan, maintaining accurate records and ensuring efficient inventory management
  6. Manage resource room inventory and product tags, contributing to a well-organized and functional workspace
  7. Assist with managing showroom-related expenses, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to budget guidelines
  8. Handle daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork and reporting, providing timely and accurate insights to inform business decisions
  9. Coordinate with corporate partners in accounting, operations, buying teams, and visual merchandising, fostering strong relationships and driving business results
  10. Work closely with the General Manager on various tasks and appointments, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
  11. Maintain daily operations in the General Manager's absence, ensuring seamless continuity and minimizing disruption
Requirements:
  • A design degree is desirable but not required; relevant certifications or training are also valuable
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software is essential for this role
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with colleagues, clients, and vendors
  • Good organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on clarity and precision

  • A competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
