McLean Hospital(MCL) is seeking a highly skilled Sustainability and Infrastructure Director to join our team. Located just outside Boston, Massachusetts, we offer a unique therapeutic environment for those in need of psychiatric care.

About the Role

The Sustainability and Infrastructure Director will be responsible for leading our facilities maintenance team, overseeing infrastructure replacement projects, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sustainable maintenance practices to minimize McLean's environmental footprint.
  • Lead the facilities maintenance team, providing guidance and oversight to ensure effective operations.
  • Collaborate with the Campus Renewal Plan team to prioritize infrastructure replacement projects and allocate resources accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including Joint Commission reports and regulatory compliance materials.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to team members, focusing on continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Coordinate efforts with external contractors and vendors to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Manage budgets and prioritize spending to meet operational needs and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 5-7 years of supervisory experience in healthcare facility management, with 8-10 years of technical experience in a healthcare or related environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Joint Commission standards, compliance requirements, and building codes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.
  • Experience working with aging infrastructure, historic renovations, and vendor management is a plus.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
