Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Director to oversee the meal plan at The Goddard School of Arnold, MO. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with state regulations and Goddard standards, while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities- Meal Planning: Develop and implement a nutritious and balanced meal plan that meets state nutritional requirements and adheres to Goddard's meal plan guidelines.
- Culinary Operations: Oversee the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
- Food Safety: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Inventory Management: Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies and ingredients, and minimizing waste.
- Menu Development: Develop and update menus in accordance with nutritional guidelines and children's preferences.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers and staff to accommodate dietary restrictions and special needs of children.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of food purchases, inventory, and meal production.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Culinary Director or in a similar role, preferably in a childcare or educational setting.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of state nutritional requirements and food safety regulations.
- Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification: ServSafe certification.
