Bread for the City seeks a Primary Care Physician to join our team. As a member of our medical staff, you will provide high-quality primary care services to our patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care. You will also be expected to work collaboratively with our team to achieve our organization's goals and objectives.
Responsibilities- Obtain health history and perform physical examinations
- Diagnose, treat, refer when indicated, and provide preventive care to all patients
- Review incoming reports and follow up in a timely manner
- Comply with the Infection Control plan and ensure compliance by support staff
- Participate in peer review, quality assurance, provider meetings, and other clinical meetings
- Assist in updating protocols and principles of practice as requested
- Provide support to other clinical staff as part of a team approach to provide quality care to patients
- Supervise students in training as assigned by the Medical Director
- Current DC medical license
- Current DEA certificate
- Board eligible or board certified in family medicine
- Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation certificate (CPR)
- Ability to work with volunteers in a professional and collaborative manner
- Familiarity with Google Organization & Productivity Tools (Gmail, Google Docs, Calendar) and/or ability to learn new technology systems
- Willingness to learn and carry out Bread for the City's commitments to building a socially just, racially equitable, and gender affirming culture
