Job Requirements
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field, with 0-2 years of relevant experience through employment or internship. Experience with mechanical design in a manufacturing environment is preferred. The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of inverters or similar power conversion equipment, electrical enclosures, or manufacturing of electrical products. Proficiency with software design tools such as AutoCAD, Creo/Solidworks is essential. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, product configuration tables, and tools, and bills of materials, especially in conjunction with an ERP system (SAP), is also required.

Key Accountabilities
* Develop and implement mechanical designs, including sheet metal, plastics, thermal and environmental management, and agency compliance
* Create and maintain mechanical models and CAD drawings to support PE functions
* Analyze and correct field quality issues, implementing ECNs as necessary
* Test designs to validate performance, qualify critical components, and ensure agency compliance
* Collaborate with the Global Product Engineering Team on design changes at the product platform level
* Contribute to quality problem-solving activities, resolving customer and production issues, and assisting with quality improvement and cost reduction initiatives
