Job Overview

We are seeking a Logistics Development Expert to join our team at Redwood Logistics in Austin, TX. This is a salaried, full-time position that requires onsite work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with an hour break.

Estimated Salary Range:

$60,000 - $80,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.

About the Role:

As a Logistics Development Expert, you will play a crucial role in identifying, sourcing, and developing strong business relationships with service providers to achieve maximum profitability and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for expanding knowledge of the transportation industry, building and maintaining strategic carrier profiles, and actively engaging with carriers primarily by phone.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Identify opportunities to develop new business relationships with service providers.
  • Sources and qualifies potential carriers to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing carriers to drive revenue growth.
  • Analyze market conditions and adjust strategies accordingly to maximize profitability.
  • Negotiate freight rates with motor carriers to secure optimal pricing.
  • Coodinate available customer freight with available motor carrier equipment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve issues timely when needed.
  • Monitor shipments to proactively address any issues or delays during transit.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in logistics or sales.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Results-driven with a passion for driving revenue growth.
  • Familiarity with the transportation industry and its trends.
