We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gastroenterology Medical Specialist to join our team at Allied Digestive Health in Albany, NY.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have hospitalist or strong primary care experience, current licensure, and exceptional patient service skills. As a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting diagnostic assessments, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough medical evaluations, including physical examinations, medical histories, and diagnostic testing.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and preferences.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions between settings.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Nurse Practitioner Program).
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New York State.
- Hospitalist or strong primary care experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations and healthcare teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound clinical decisions.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and MS Office software.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA regulations and guidelines.
