We are seeking a highly skilled Urban Growth Planner to join our team at the University of New Mexico.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated annual salary for this position is $59,232 (based on 24 hours/week @ $49.35/hour), with benefits not applicable.
Job ResponsibilitiesThe Urban Growth Planner will be responsible for developing land use and zoning recommendations for the Westside Vision 2100 Study. This involves modeling urban growth scenarios on the west side of Albuquerque and developing a vision for economic development and urban development goals through community engagement.
A vision plan will be developed to inform a variety of community stakeholders to build a collective vision for west side growth and economic development to the year 2100.
This research project includes the area bounded by the Rio Grande River, the Bernalillo County boundary, the Rio Puerco River, and I-40 to Central Boulevard.
The Urban Growth Planner will work under the direction of Associate Professor Moises Gonzales and report to him directly.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree; at least 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
- Master of Community & Regional Planning or equivalent degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
- Knowledge of land use and zoning.
