Position Information:

The Cardiovascular Testing department at WakeMed utilizes state-of-the-art equipment and employs skilled Registered Cardiovascular Sonographers to perform a range of cardiovascular procedures, including imaging and diagnostics.

As a Registered Cardiovascular Sonographer, you will be responsible for operating ultrasound equipment to visualize and record high-quality images of the cardiovascular system, working in multiple ambulatory locations.

You will need to demonstrate proficiency in accordance with established guidelines and departmental policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate ultrasound equipment to perform cardiovascular imaging and diagnostics
  • Work in multiple ambulatory locations, including clinics and hospitals
  • Demonstrate proficiency in accordance with established guidelines and departmental policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care

Requirements:

  • 1 year of clinical experience in ultrasound required
  • Graduate degree in Cardiac Ultrasound or Peripheral Vascular Ultrasound required, or equivalent education and experience
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, Registered Vascular Technologist, or Registered Vascular Specialist certification required

Work Schedule:

Days, with occasional evening or weekend shifts
