Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in a Per Diem Evenings position at our East Greenwich Outpatient location. As a Physical Therapist, you will provide physical therapy services to patients who have impairments, functional limitations, or disabilities resulting from injury, disease, or other causes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide physical therapy services to patients in a collaborative and interdisciplinary team environment.
  • Educate patients, families, and others on physical therapy techniques and strategies.
  • Direct and supervise support personnel to ensure effective and efficient care.
  • Manage technical, environmental, and financial resources to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Assess and evaluate patient needs according to organizational and professional guidelines.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that reflect an understanding of patients' age and situation, including discharge plans.
  • Revised treatment plans based on patient progress towards stated goals.
  • Ensure complete, timely, and accurate documentation in accordance with facility and practice guidelines.
  • Orient, train, and mentor therapy and health care students to achieve stated performance expectations.
  • Identify and act upon performance improvement opportunities to implement best practices.

Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Licensed (and in good standing) as a physical therapist in the state of Rhode Island.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Basic skills in math and computer science.
  • Appropriate knowledge of physical therapy evaluation and treatment techniques to manage the rehabilitation population.
  • Effective problem-solving skills for physical therapy evaluation, interpretation, treatment planning, and execution.
  • Computer proficiency required, with Microsoft Office applications preferred.

  • Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills, working with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently, be self-directed, and contribute as a member of a team.
  • Anticipates challenges and develops and implements strategies for addressing them.
  • High level of service delivery, with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing situations.
  • Attention to detail.
