Job Summary and Qualifications

The MRI Technologist performs routine and specialized magnetic resonance imaging of organs, organ systems and blood flow studies. The MRI Tech presents images and patient information/history to the Radiologist so that a comprehensive diagnostic report is available to referring physician.

Responsibilities:

* Compassionately assist and position patients
* Start IVs for contrast injection when necessary
* Assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary
* Release patients with proper post procedure instructions
* Turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment
* Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines

Requirements:

* Graduate of an accredited school or college with certificate or degree in Radiology Technology
* American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) registered
* ARRT MR preferred upon hire or must become registry eligible for ARRT MR within 1 year of hire and must complete registry within the 6 months following
* BCLS required within 30 days of start date
* 2-3 years MRI experience preferred
* On Call required and must have the ability to report to the facility within one hour of call back
