Electronics Assembler I

This position involves working as part of a team to assemble products for our customers under the guidance of experienced team members.

The role entails functions such as kitting, assembling, and packaging. On-the-job training will be provided, and no prior experience is necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to understand written work instructions and drawings for a wide range of products to properly assemble and test the final product to the highest quality standards and with zero scrap or rework.
  • Assemble components and products of varying size and complexity, including cleaning, inspecting, and testing of components and assemblies.
  • Meet the expected assembly timelines outlined on production orders.
  • Remain focused on production orders and assembly responsibilities throughout the day and ask questions when instructions are not understood or clear.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment through compliance with procedures, policies, and regulations.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Meet company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis.
  • Perform all work-related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.

Physical Demands:

  • The employee must be able to grasp, manipulate, or assemble parts and components that are often very small, requiring a steady hand and good hand-eye coordination.
  • Work may be sedentary, requiring standing or sitting for long durations and/or performing repetitious work at times.
  • Exerts up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally.

Requirements:

  • None required, training will be provided. Experience in manufacturing or hands-on work is preferred.
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience in soldering is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and comply with high-quality standards.
  • Good work ethic.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to shift from one task to another to address changing production priorities.
  • Basic mathematical knowledge.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills such as Microsoft Office.
