Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Tech to join our team at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital - Mt. Vernon. As a Patient Care Tech, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and supporting our nursing staff.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including vital sign collection, monitoring behavior and physical conditions, and assisting with daily activities.
  • Prepare and organize patients' medical records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with patient discharges, ensuring a smooth transition to the next level of care.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and registered nurses, providing support and communication.
  • Ensure supplies for patient care needs are adequately stocked and maintained.
Requirements
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
