Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Family Support Specialist to join our team in providing comprehensive, long-term home-visiting services to high-risk first-time parents and families with young children. The successful candidate will assess infant/child and family needs, develop plans to achieve family and child development goals, and provide parenting support.

About the Role
  • Meet regularly with families in their homes to complete assessments, develop goals, and provide services aligned with the strengths and needs of the child and family.
  • Provide observations of parent-child interactions, including assessing for effective communication and empathic responses, and engage parents in reflective dialogue on the developing parent-child relationship.
  • Assist parents in forming community connections aligned with service goals, including referral and linkage with providers of early intervention, mental health, healthcare, and other supportive services.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree in Social Work, Child Development, or a closely related field; Bachelors Degree preferred in Social Work, Child Development, or closely related field required.
  • One year of experience working with families with children under the age of 5 required.
  • Adept at communicating effectively - both in writing and verbally.
  • Able to attend in-person family visits and meetings, and have a valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $38,400-$48,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical/dental/vision insurance, 3+ weeks paid time off in the first year, 11 paid holidays, supplemental insurance options, and 401(k) with match.
