Housekeeping Aide Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Housekeeping Aide to join our team at The Ritz-Carlton Maui Kapalua. As a Housekeeping Aide, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Identify and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards in public areas or guest rooms.
  • Deliver guest requests and set up furniture items in guest rooms as requested.
  • Remove items from hallways and transport to service areas, including debris, room service food and beverage trays, unread newspapers, soiled linens, and trash.
  • Clean, maintain, and store cleaning equipment.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 55 pounds without assistance and in excess of 55 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • No related work experience.
  • No supervisory experience.
