Collections Specialist

As a Collections Specialist at Texas Instruments, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's capital management strategy by ensuring timely and efficient payment collection. You will work closely with business planning, pricing, sales, and customer operations to minimize credit-related issues and resolve conflicts with late-paying customers. Your goal will be to establish robust practices for all customer categories, driving the organization's success and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify, classify, compute, post, and record accounts receivable data
Review and reconcile customer receivable accounts, identifying reasons for payment delays and ensuring addback amounts are understood
Pursue collections of all receivables, highlighting support needed from appropriate teams to resolve payment disputes
Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending reminders, clarifying bank payment information, and contacting clients per the organization's escalation strategy and timeline
Generate reports summarizing accounts receivable status for the collection's assistant portfolio and other status reports
Perform efficient reviews of credit line requests to meet an aggressive turn-around
Evaluate daily customer shipment blocks, verify discrepancies, release holds as necessary
Support limited customer onboarding setups according to the organization's policies and customer requests related to report transmission
Support close activities related to collection tasks
Requirements:
High school diploma/GED equivalent
2 years in a finance, accounting, or operations role
Preferred qualifications include a degree in finance, operations, accounting, or a related field, systems knowledge/skills, and prior experience interfacing directly with customers
