Spanish Teacher

We are seeking a highly qualified and passionate Spanish teacher to join our team at Ambridge Area School District. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated educator to make a positive impact on the lives of our students.

School Program Development:

• Create and implement engaging lesson plans that reflect the district's curriculum and cater to students' diverse needs.
• Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives effectively to students.
• Instruct through various learning activities in assigned subject areas, utilizing effective teaching strategies to promote student engagement and understanding.

Student Assessment and Support:

• Evaluate students' academic performance, behavior, career, and social development, providing constructive feedback to help them grow.
• Recognize and accommodate individual student differences in ability, learning style, social orientation, and requirements of student IEPs when providing instruction and assessing progress.

Classroom Environment and Management:

• Establish and enforce rules for positive behavior and procedures for maintaining a conducive learning environment among students.
• Promote and provide a comfortable classroom setting that fosters constructive relationships, facilitates student engagement, and promotes learning.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student performance.
• Collaborate with school personnel regarding academic planning and professional issues, including knowledge and use of best practices in developing rigorous and relevant curricula for instructional delivery.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Bachelor's Degree in a specific subject area, such as Spanish or Education.
• Pennsylvania State Teaching Certificate in designated curricular area(s).
• Act 34/151/114/126/168 Clearances/Certifications required.
• Maintain a high emotional energy and display enthusiasm for the middle school teaching and learning environment.

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
