Compensation

Competitive hourly pay starting at $24.00/hour + commission, plus benefits such as multiple Medical/Dental plan options, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k) with employer match, STD/LTD, Paid Holidays, Vacation, Sick Time, and more.

Job Description

We are seeking a Commercial Driver with a CLASS A CDL for a Full-Time position in Bakersfield to work late mornings or day shifts. In this role, you will pick up and deliver hazardous waste and/or materials such as crude oil, gas oil, and other products at various customer locations. This may include operation of a cargo tank. Travel may not be limited to within California.

The essential functions include:

  • Operating commercial motor vehicles and associated equipment safely.
  • Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Complying with all required statutory, regulatory requirements, and company policy.
  • Loading and unloading trucks, which may include hazardous waste and/or materials.
  • Maintaining telephone or radio contact with supervisors at all times on shift.
  • Communicating with customers, supervisors, and other employees effectively.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
  • A Commercial Class A Driver's License with Hazmat, TSA Clearance for carrying hazardous materials, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements (Doubles is a PLUS).
  • 2 or more years of related work experience preferred.
  • Manual and Automatic Transmission required.
  • Ability to work Sunday through Thursday.
  • Early Morning Shift (Start Time May Differ based on Company Needs).
  • Willingness to work OTR multiple days a week.
  • Ability to work a 5x2 schedule and work some holidays as needed (Holiday pay and OT).
