**Job Description:**

We are seeking a Staff Power Electronics Engineer to join our team in Baltimore, MD. As a member of our Power Conversion Technology Hardware Design community, you will work with other engineers to develop state-of-the-art power supplies and power products for military applications.

**Salary Range:** $157,500 - $236,300

The salary range reflects the scope and responsibilities of this position, as well as the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Perform power supply design, including simulation and analysis, schematic creation, component selection, and printed wiring board layout.
  • Perform technical trade studies and worst-case analysis and component stress analysis.
  • Provide manufacturing support for hardware builds and develop Acceptance Test Procedures.
  • Mentor and train less-experienced engineers on all aspects of Power Supply design.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering or similar STEM degree (Electrical Engineering Preferred) and 12 years of relevant work experience.
  • Or Master's degree with 10 years of relevant work experience, OR Ph.D. with 8 years of practical work experience.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Current Secret clearance (or higher).
  • Familiarity with power supply EMI/EMC filtering and design, digital control experience, active power factor correction design experience, magnetic component design experience, high voltage design experience (up to 200 kV), working knowledge of power related Mil-Stds for power quality and electromagnetic interference, Power System Architecture Experience, GaN FET and other semiconductor expertise, and hardware development team leadership experience.
