Restaurant Operations Manager

The Assistant Restaurant Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurants, reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager. This individual is responsible for implementing processes and procedures that meet Rutter's expectations and goals, while maintaining a high level of customer service and employee satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all customers.
- Perform duties at multiple workstations, including food preparation, making tables, and expediting.
- Complete all store housekeeping functions, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning restrooms.
- Set inventory levels and order supplies, adhering to company guidelines.
- Ensure proper receiving, storage, and rotation of goods, following company procedures.
- Schedule employees based on peak demand times, ensuring adequate staffing.
- Train employees in food preparation, sanitation rules, and regulations.
- Share responsibility for shift coverage in the event of call-offs.
- Adhere to company recipes and quantities, using the Price book as a guide.
- Ensure compliance with food safety guidelines, rules, and procedures.
- Complete customer transactions accurately and efficiently, adhering to age-restricted product regulations.
- Identify and resolve inventory control issues.
- Schedule hours of work for self and employees to optimize operations and control labor costs.
- Complete and submit all necessary forms and spreadsheets for profit and loss statements.
- Address personnel issues, submitting relevant forms and distributing information as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve service, productivity, and sales, making recommendations to management.
- Employ a team-based approach to problem-solving and resolving personnel issues.
- Maintain high standards and work ethics, demonstrating professionalism and diplomacy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to use a PC, mobile device, and/or other electronics.
- Talk, hear, read, write, and comprehend English.
- Perform duties at multiple workstations.
- Complete all store housekeeping functions.
- Ability to be at work on time when scheduled.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- High energy, positive attitude, and excellent customer service skills.
- Interact productively with co-workers and function well in a team environment.
- Thorough understanding of company policies and practices.
- Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and reliable vehicle required for travel to store locations and offsite meetings.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
- Frequent walking, stretching, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, grasping, and repetitive movements.
- Must be able to lift, push, and/or pull up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to get product in cold refrigerator or freezer.
- Must be able to tolerate exposure to cleaning products.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment.
This is a full-time position/non-exempt, requiring a minimum of 45 hours per week on a rotating schedule based on business needs. May need to work weekends and holidays.
Qualifications Required- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Basic accounting skills.
- Obtain Serve Safe certification.
- May be required to obtain RAMP certification *Beer/Wine locations only.
- Required to obtain occupational license or permit issued by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board *VGT locations only.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 6 months' employment with Rutter's.
- Prior experience in Food Service, Restaurant, or related industry.
- Prior management or leadership experience.
