Mobile Nuclear Medicine Technologist for Exciting Travel Assignment

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team for an exciting travel assignment in Newburyport, Massachusetts.
About the JobThis 13-week contract offers a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team and gain valuable experience in nuclear medicine technology. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing radiopharmaceutical agents and administering them to patients prior to using a scanner or camera to capture images.
You will provide technical support to physicians and researchers, ensuring accurate and efficient patient care. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:- Attain required approval and signature by nuclear medicine physicians
- Transfer, position, and instruct patients in preparation for procedures
- Operate the scanner or gamma scintillation camera
- Perform procedures including injecting radiopharmaceuticals under the direct supervision of a radiologist
- Provide assistance to patients during procedures
- Ensure the environment is safe at all times for patients and staff by following safety and radiation disposal procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
To be successful in this role, you must have 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. You should also possess BLS, ARRT (N) National Certification with registration in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB-CNMT, and state-specific licensing when required.
In addition, you should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty. A sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology is essential.
