Nuclear Medicine Technologist Supervisor

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist Supervisor is accountable for assisting the Management team in the supervision, planning, organizing and improvement of work processes in the Nuclear Medicine department. Performs department orientation, teaches, coaches, supervises staff and performs imaging exams in the modalities that they supervise. Assures the organizations vision, mission, values and goals are adhered to and implied.
Key Responsibilities- Oversees the delivery and quality of imaging services with respect to turnaround times, quality of exams performed and patient preparation in a timely, accurate, and cost-efficient manner in compliance with established System and regulatory standards, policies and procedures.
- Ensures adequate staffing levels, supplies and resources are available to perform exams and clinical services to meet clinical demands.
- Interviews, counsels, and completes performance evaluations. Trains new staff and Ensures all registrations and certifications are current, on file and up to date.
- Partners with the management team and staff to conduct multidisciplinary staff meetings to ensure consistent and timely communication throughout the department.
- Facilitates goal setting for staff working in the imaging sections. Monitors goals, achievements and Ensures the outcome of the goals is reflected in the annual performance evaluations.
- Grad of an Accredited Program
- 3 years of Nuclear Med Tech experience
- Hospital experience
- Preferably, billing knowledge and Charge integrity
- Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer
- Medical Radiologic Tech (MRT): MRT from Texas Medical Board required
- Must have one of the following ARRT-NM or CNMT. Certified by ARRT or ARDMS
