As a Diagnostic Imaging Sonographer at Advocate Aurora Health, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. We are seeking a skilled and experienced sonographer to join our team as an Advanced Ultrasound Specialist.

Job Summary:

  • Operate high-end ultrasound equipment to perform advanced imaging procedures for patients in various specialties, including general, vascular, and cardiac.
  • Utilize advanced sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures to obtain accurate diagnostic images.
  • Analyze images, synthesize sonographic information, and communicate findings to physicians to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records, document billing codes, and participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure excellence in patient care.

About the Role:

  • This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week with flexible shifts.
  • The successful candidate will be required to register with ARDMS within 0 months for RDMS Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
  • You will need to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Sonographer in a hospital setting.
  • Advanced training beyond High School that includes completion of an accredited or approved program in Sonography.
  • Ability to operate independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, caregivers, and healthcare teams.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, and twist throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
  • May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation hazards as well as blood and body fluids; therefore, personal protective equipment must be worn as necessary.
