Job Summary

As a Data Engineer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, you will lead the full life cycle of Business Intelligence platform development, including design, coding, testing, and production. You will build standard-driven data integration and automation processes to manage the integrity and quality of MIT financial data used for reporting and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain large-scale data systems and processes
Design and implement data integration and automation solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions
Ensure data quality and integrity through data profiling, data quality, master data management, and metadata management

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
At least five years of relevant programming experience
Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and business intelligence
Strong understanding of data integration and automation technologies
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Project management experience
Certified Data Vault 2.0 Practitioner (CDVP2.0) or Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP) certification
Experience with Tableau reporting software
Experience with SAP, Concur, Coupa, and Oracle platforms and data
