As a Licensed Practical Nurse at NYU Langone Ambulatory Care Garden City - Women's Health, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. Your primary responsibility will be to utilize your clinical expertise to develop and implement safe, effective plans of care for patients. You will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to promote wellness, optimize patient outcomes, and ensure seamless communication throughout the care delivery process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care Coordination
    • Document patient progress, teaching needs, and response to interventions to ensure continuity of care.
    • Evaluate patient satisfaction and address any concerns or issues promptly.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes.
  • Medication Management
    • Process medication orders, verify dosages, and maintain accurate records.
    • Ensure timely authorization for medication refills and coordinate test referrals as needed.
    • Monitor and respond to potential medication-related issues.
  • Clinical Judgment and Critical Thinking
    • Assess patient needs, identify variances from plan of care, and implement appropriate interventions.
    • Collaborate with the RN to modify the plan of care as needed.
    • Provide direct patient care, adhering to established policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current New York State Licensed Practical Nurse License and Registration.
  • Basic computer skills and good communication skills are essential.
  • A Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Estimated Salary: $65,858 annually
