About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Coordinator to join our team at Yale Cancer Center. The successful candidate will provide high-level administrative support to the Chief of Staff and coordinate academic and business activities, including travel arrangements, reimbursements, procurement, and meeting coordination.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administration, excellent communication and organizational skills, and experience working in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of University systems, including Workday, SciQuest, Zoom, Qualtrics, etc., is highly desirable.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $70,000-$90,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. The Yale University offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate travel arrangements and reimbursements for the Chief of Staff and other personnel
  • Manage procurement and purchasing processes for the department
  • Support academic faculty and medical professionals with administrative tasks
  • Coordinate meetings and events for the department
  • Provide backup support to other administrative staff as needed

Education and Experience:

  • Six years of related work experience, four of them in the same job family at the next lower level, and high school level education; or four years of related work experience and an Associate's degree; or little or no work experience and a Bachelor's degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Proven experience handling travel arrangements in a professional capacity
  • Knowledge of University systems, including Workday, SciQuest, Zoom, Qualtrics, etc.
  • Proven experience supporting academic faculty and medical professionals
