We are seeking a Mechanical Design Specialist to join our team at Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. As a key member of our MEP engineering firm, you will play a crucial role in designing HVAC and plumbing systems for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Contribute to the design of HVAC & Plumbing system projects, working closely with senior engineers to ensure high-quality results.">
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline staff to design and implement mechanical systems in new or existing buildings, ensuring seamless integration with other systems.">
  • Interface directly with clients, vendors, contractors, and associates to provide technical support and resolve any issues that may arise.">
  • Perform mechanical design calculations and standard computations, such as building heating and cooling load analysis.">
  • Ensure compliance with building design and energy codes and standards, maintaining the highest level of professionalism and expertise.">
  • Survey mechanical systems, equipment, and building conditions to identify areas for improvement.">
  • Specify equipment requirements, taking into account factors such as performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.">
  • Prepare technical reports and specifications, clearly communicating complex ideas and concepts to stakeholders.">
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other project team members to ensure smooth project execution.">
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from design through construction completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.">
  • C Coordinate with design team professionals from other disciplines to ensure proper coordination on construction documents.">
  • Research and apply applicable codes to design, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.">
  • Perform project site visits during design and construction to verify proper implementation of design documents.">
  • Prepare concept, schematic design, design development, and construction documents, using your expertise to drive project success.">
  • Conduct code research and incorporate relevant requirements into the design, ensuring compliance and consistency.">
  • Prepare design drawings, specifications, and control sequences of operation, applying your knowledge and experience to deliver exceptional results.">
  • During project construction, conduct submittal reviews, make construction site visits, and observe system start-ups, ensuring seamless transition from design to operation.">
  • Maintain close interaction with company staff and management, as well as clients, to build strong relationships and foster collaboration.">

Qualifications:

  • ">
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Architectural Engineering, Plumbing Engineer, or equivalent degree.">
  • Knowledge/understanding of LEED and Green Building practices is a plus.">
  • Three (3) or more years of engineering experience in the design of HVAC & Plumbing systems, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results.">
  • Engineer in Training (EIT)/Fundamental Engineer (FE) exam required.">
  • AutoCAD and Revit experience, with proficiency in software applications and tools.">
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus, but not required.">
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain professional client relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders.">
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts.">
  • Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word, with proficiency in software applications and tools.">

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
