This role is ideal for individuals seeking a transition into a union career. As a Metal Trade Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced tradespeople, gaining a solid foundation for building skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in a union environment.

Responsibilities
• Assist in fabrication, cutting, shaping, and assembly of metal parts and structures.
• Learn basic welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
• Operate tools and machinery, such as hand tools, grinders, drill presses, and cutting equipment.
• Follow instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings to perform tasks accurately.
• Fabricate metal structures and equipment, as well as maintain and repair equipment.
• Participate in training programs and gain knowledge of industry standards, trade best practices, and safety regulations.

Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including standing for long periods and lifting heavy materials.
• Basic math understanding related to metalworking.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience in manufacturing, construction, or metalworking environments.
• Familiarity with tools and equipment used in metal trades.
