Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing MRI diagnostic imaging procedures on patients of all ages to assist in diagnosis
  • Locating and recording internal body elements, identifying anomalies indicative of disease or injury
  • Adjusting equipment and calming patients to eliminate test artifacts
  • Monitoring patients for physical and emotional changes
  • Evaluating test results for clarity and accuracy
  • Reviewing tests with peers and physicians
  • Distributing completed test results to physicians and service providers
  • Maintaining patient charts, entering diagnosis and billing codes
  • Cleaning and sterilizing equipment and workspace
  • Recognizing equipment malfunctions and adjusting or reporting for repair
  • Instructing patients in pretest preparation and explaining procedures
  • Compliance with Siemens, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures
  • Maintaining equipment according to Infection Control procedure
  • Maintaining technical competency through continued education and participation in Siemens training programs
  • Administering contrast agents under guidance and approval of site Radiologist
  • Maintaining current Permits to Practice in all states where services are performed
  • Performing equipment quality checks and troubleshooting problems
  • Following quality assurance guidelines and maintaining patient confidentiality

Requirements:

  • Expertise in MRI imaging
  • Clinical Radiographer background with a minimum of 2 years MRI clinical experience
  • Siemens equipment experience required
  • Valid ARRT license, registered in MRI
