Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance Department Management: Assist the Director in preparing the maintenance budget and plan for replacing equipment, reconcile budgets, and supervise the maintenance team.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute yearly maintenance schedules, coordinate with other departments, and ensure all necessary maintenance is performed.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure proper monitoring of inventory, ordering of parts, and adherence to EPA, OSHA, and government guidelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical Expertise: Associate degree from a two-year college or university, technical school training, or 3-4 years related experience, including licensing as a journeyman of a skilled trade.
  • Supervisory Experience: Proven track record in hiring, development, and discipline, with intermediate-level computer skills for programs like Word, Excel, Groupwise, and CMMS.
  • Certifications: EPA Refrigeration Certification (Type II or Universal), Safe Food Handling Practices, A B I certification, and Hazardous Materials Certification.
