The Opportunity

RS&H is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Aviation Practice, where you will have the opportunity to design and deliver electrical systems for transportation facilities, airports, and other aviation-related projects.



As an Electrical Engineer in our Aviation Practice, you will be responsible for leading designs and producing drawings for runway and taxiway lighting systems, NAVAIDs, and aviation infrastructure. You will also develop calculations, specifications, engineering reports, and construction cost estimates, and attend client meetings and site visits. Throughout your career, you will be guided by senior professional engineering staff and become well-versed in FAA standards and the latest technologies driving the industry.



Opportunities will be available for cross-functional collaboration on building projects, photovoltaic developments, electric vehicle infrastructure, as well as RS&H's renowned space port projects.



Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or pursue within 6 months.
  • 6 years of experience in consulting engineering, preferably aviation
  • Experience designing building electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and security
  • Be proficient with software packages: AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with software packages: AGI32, SKM
  • Experience with FAA standards and the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able and willing to travel

Typical salary range for this position in Denver is $90,000 - 120,000 and commensurate with experience relative to the position. #aviationelectrical
