Medical Records Technician

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Records Technician to join our Pediatric Clinic team. As a Medical Records Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with departmental procedures, and providing exceptional customer service to patients and providers.
Key Responsibilities- Medical Record Assembly
- Ensure patient records and associated loose filing are scanned according to departmental procedures.
- Merge patient accounts when duplicate registrations are identified.
- Record Analysis
- Analyze charts for completion.
- Prepare deficiency list of incomplete charts.
- Filing and Scanning Reports
- Accurately file and scan all reports in patient's medical record.
- Report to back office and medical records supervisor any forms or documents unable to be scanned into EMR due to missing patient identification or incorrect labeling.
- Special Projects and Tasks
- Assist with department special projects and tasks.
- Process record releases when necessary.
- Customer Service Support
- Answer calls and check voice messages regularly.
- Respond to patient inquiries regarding medical record releases, referrals, authorizations, and the status of disability or other forms.
