High-Performance Compute Solutions Expert

Job Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned High-Performance Compute Solutions Expert to join our team at Cambridge Computer. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions that meet the complex needs of our customers in various industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine customer needs and recommend tailored solutions that exceed their expectations
- Promote and sell high-value workload solutions to IT professionals, focusing on education, commercial, federal labs, media & entertainment, cloud service providers, research computing, and healthcare
- Collaborate with vendors to design and optimize HPC, AI, and ML solutions across various disciplines, emphasizing multi-rack-scale compute clusters, high-throughput network solutions, schedulers, cluster management tools, and parallel file systems
- Develop expertise in enterprise data storage technologies, server and container virtualization, CPU and GPU compute, networking, firewalls, VPNs, and information security
- Establish strong relationships with tech industry leaders and leverage these connections to drive business growth
- Drive demand generation activities, including prospecting, attending technical lectures, and following up on marketing initiatives
- Gain advanced expertise and certifications as assigned
- Represent the company in face-to-face and online meetings, technical demonstrations, and conferences
Requirements:
- 10+ years of customer-facing technical experience recommending high-value workload solutions, research & development, life science compute, and data-center centric IT infrastructure solutions
- Experience with specific technologies, including HPC clusters, high-throughput network solutions, schedulers, cluster management tools, and parallel file systems
- Enterprise data storage technologies, such as SAN and NAS storage, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, CIFS, and NFS
- Windows Server and UNIX/Linux system administration
- Expert-level knowledge of advanced computer hardware, software, and services
- Existing relationships with technology vendors and distributors in the IT ecosystem
- University undergraduate degree required; STEM and/or advanced degree preferred
- Ability to work remotely, independently, and unsupervised; 25% travel required
Estimated Salary Range: $90k - $175k per year
