About the Role

Veolia North America is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to support the planning and execution of medium and large capital infrastructure projects for our water and wastewater facilities. As a key member of our project team, you will work closely with operations personnel and contract operations to manage and coordinate project activities, ensuring timely completion, budget compliance, and adherence to applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage water and wastewater projects from inception to completion, including conceptual design, pilot testing, and project planning.
  • Develop technical, bidding, and contractual documents in accordance with enterprise engineering guidelines, including negotiations with supply chain management.
  • Ensure enterprise Technical and Environmental Health and Safety/Security standards are incorporated into design specifications.
  • Manage environmental and governmental permitting in coordination with local business unit staff.
  • Provide project oversight of design and construction management personnel to ensure timely completion, budget compliance, and adherence to applicable standards.
  • Drive efficiency into project delivery through monitoring of delivery metrics and utilization of alternate procurement and delivery methods.
  • Provide monthly reports to management regarding project status and issues affecting performance.
  • Participate in the development of engineering design and delivery processes and standards.
  • Support local operations and business development teams to develop opportunities for additional services on existing contracts and support development of new contracts and proposals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing water and wastewater design and construction projects for pumping stations, wastewater collection systems, water transmission/distribution systems, and treatment plants.
  • Experience with environmental regulatory framework and permitting approvals preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) License desired, PMP and/or Construction Management certifications a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel approximately 25%.
  • Ability to work transversally with corporate and local business units.
