Job Overview

The Executive Operations Manager is a critical role at Ryder System, responsible for overseeing the financial, operational, and employee aspects of multiple accounts. This individual must ensure the profitable retention and growth of business within their span of control while meeting financial, employee, safety, and customer satisfaction goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Goal Setting and Performance Management: Develop and implement effective goal-setting strategies, conduct skills assessments, create IDPs, provide career development opportunities, evaluate performance, offer ongoing feedback, and take disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Develop, lead, and grow direct and indirect reports, provide relevant HR skills training, offer ongoing feedback, and conduct quality selection of qualified personnel to maintain corrective staffing levels.
  • Process Improvement: Create location processes, cross-train employees, and maintain SCLM. Identify areas for improvement and assign responsibilities to team members.
  • Customer Satisfaction and Problem Resolution: Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving problems promptly and reviewing KPI tracking and improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Five years or more of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse management, or related field.
  • Skill Set: Project management, facilitation, strong oral and written communication skills, ability to create and maintain professional relationships, and flexibility to operate in a fast-paced environment.
